ESN Names Defense Award Winner
as Controller
ARLINGTON, VA (February 12, 2007) – Engineering Services
Network Inc. (ESN), a trusted leader in engineering and technology
solutions based in Arlington, VA, has named Wesley J. Mandler
as controller.
A winner of the Secretary of Defense Award, Mandler brings
more than 30 years of experience to ESN, a service-disabled,
veteran-owned company. His expertise includes accounting,
information systems, controllership, real estate, technical
writing, and mainframe/client server accounting system design
and implementation.

As ESN controller, Mandler works under the chief operating
officer and is responsible for all aspects of corporate accounting
including payroll, management information reports and DCAA
audits utilizing DELTEK GCS Premier. In addition, he provides
training to corporate and field personnel in financial processing
requirements.
Mandler is the winner of the Secretary of Defense Award for
his “dedicated service” and his “extensive
experience and willingness to share in a team effort” to
develop DoD e-business initiatives.
In addition, Mandler has expertise in e-business feasibility,
management and implementation. He has experience in database
requirements, design, construction, implementation and management.
In addition, he has written operation manuals, policies and
procedures, business plans and training programs.
Mandler’s experience before joining ESN includes serving
as project manager to the Office of the Secretary of Defense
Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (SADBU). He was
a member of a Defense committee that conducted pilot testing
of portal technology in support of e-commerce.
In addition, he served as senior project manager on the White
House
Office of National Drug Control Policy, where he created, developed,
established, maintained and operated a tracking system to account
for the multimillion National Youth Anti-Drug Media Campaign.
Mandler’s experience includes work with the U.S. Department
of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the Nuclear Regulatory
Commission (NRC) and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp./Resolution
Trust Corp.
Mandler has a bachelor’s of science in business administration
from the University of Arizona in Tucson.
